Dior Men Fall/Winter 2025 offers a fresh take on masculinity

Kim Jones embraces a sharper, more masculine style this season, balancing it with soft, feminine details.

Set in the historic École Militaire, the Dior Men Fall/Winter 2025 show combined the past with a fresh, modern twist on men’s fashion. The centerpiece of the runway was a sleek white staircase that mirrored the collection’s clean, structured aesthetic.

Kim Jones drew inspiration from Christian Dior’s 1954 “Ligne H” collection, which featured clean lines and a simple silhouette. For this collection, Jones reimagined those ideas for menswear, blending timeless sophistication and contemporary styles.

“Mr. Dior’s Ligne H was in our heads even before going into the archive this season,” Jones explained. “It has elements that are graphic and angular, which felt eminently transferable into the men’s world. We believed it was time to focus on Mr. Dior again… Ultimately, in this collection, we wanted to say something about now.”

Jones explored Dior’s archives to trace fashion’s evolution, from the elaborate styles of the 18th century to the simpler, practical menswear of the current times. His collection captures this shift while staying modern and easy to wear.

Shapes ranged from fitted to flowing, with robes and opera coats inspired by designs from Dior’s women’s archive. Rich fabrics like silk and satin added luxury, and sharp tailoring kept everything polished. Light and shadow added drama, making the pieces feel both bold and elegant.

Details like masks and embroidery brought a touch of 18th-century flair. Accessories echoed this mix: shearling bags, and shoes featured satin bows for a playful twist. Adding a personal touch, charms hung elegantly from waists, inspired by Monsieur Christian Dior’s love for lucky charms. These thoughtful details bring the collection’s heritage into the present.

The final look, a pink satin robe with embroidery inspired by Dior’s 1948 Pondichéry design, stole the show. Embroidery also appeared in patterns like pinstripes and herringbone or as shimmering beadwork that looked like raindrops.

Kim Jones embraced a sharper, more masculine style this season, balancing it with soft, feminine details. The collection combined tradition and innovation, with standout touches like hand-embroidered trainers, silver Chatelaine belts, and intricate patterns inspired by couture.
