Maria Grazia Chiuri took inspiration from ancient strength and modern athleticism. The result? A show that defined what it meant to be a powerful woman in fashion.
An arrow shot Dior’s S/S25 collection straight to the heart of Paris Fashion Week. It opened with SAGG Napoli firing arrows down a runway for a collection that combined gladiator strength and goddess-style looks.
Inspired by the fierce mythological Diana of Versailles, the Goddess of the Hunt, Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri developed a line that combined ancient strength with contemporary athleticism. The result? A show that defined what it meant to be a powerful woman in fashion.

The free-spirited Greek huntress Diana, with her agile disposition and connection to nature, was the perfect muse for Dior’s latest collection. On the runway, there were nods to the goddess’s silhouette: one-shoulder draped dresses, side satchels, and flowing capes that seemed ready for action.

It was a tribute to the modern-day Amazon. Asymmetrical bodysuits, racing stripes, and gladiator boots dominated the runway. Chiuri was not afraid of mixing ancient warrior vibes with futuristic details—metallic bodysuits with knee-high boots or sharp, black-and-white looks with statement belts and buckles. The collection incorporated athletic inspiration into wearable, strong pieces that incorporated structure and movement for a wardrobe of an unstoppable woman.

All the athletic influences aside, it was still a couture show. The long black gloves and crisscrossing straps gave an old-world glamour, while utility-style shirts and protective bodices played on the idea of fashion as armor. As if the models had come straight off the runway and onto the battlefield.

The color palette stuck to Dior’s classic roots—black and white reigned supreme, with occasional metallics adding a futuristic glint. Flared blazers, tulle skirts and sheer dresses kept the romance alive. The collection stayed grounded in Dior’s signature elegance even as it descended into more sporty territory.
No wonder Chiuri is obsessed with feminist icons. She has previously worked with figures including Alice Milliat, the French athlete who championed women at the Olympics, and Mary Queen of Scots. This time Chiuri turned back to ancient mythology to honor a goddess of freedom, power, and femininity.
The show were attended by famous actors, Natalie Portman, Anya Taylor-Joy, music icons such as BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, and French First Lady Brigitte Macron.

This season, Dior elevated athletic pieces like body-hugging suits and mesh dresses a decidedly modern update. It was a vision of what women can wear when they need to zip around the world looking effortlessly chic.
