This limited-edition Louis Vuitton bag is only available in the Philippines

Louis Vuitton has rolled out only seven pieces of this gem of a bag.

Timeless designs, exceptional craftsmanship, and strong resale value—there are many reasons why Louis Vuitton bags are worth investing in. And Filipino bag aficionados are now at an advantage as the Parisian brand has rolled out a new handbag exclusive to the Philippines.

The new, ultra-limited edition Wicker Capucines was unveiled by Louis Vuitton as part of its Resort 2025 collection earlier this July. As usual, this handbag comes in the classic design of a Capucine but freshened up with wicker, a weaving technique used for woven plant fibers like rattan.

LV’s Wicker Capucines often come with a wicker body, with a leather handle and flap, plus the label’s iconic “LV” emblem in gold-toned hardware at the front. And like any of the legendary trunk maker’s bags, this Philippine-exclusive piece is both aesthetic, functional, and pays homage to the maison’s rich heritage.

It is inspired by the Louis Vuitton Picnic Trunk from 1892, has a lightweight build, and comes complete with inner pockets for your essentials. Capucines is meanwhile named after Louis Vuitton’s first store on Rue-Nueve-des-Capucines in Paris.

What sets the Philippine-exclusive apart from other iterations is that it features a flap and top handle made out of crocodile leather and arrests attention in a hot red hue. This striking color matches that of the bold Louis Vuitton logo on the bag’s front. It comes in medium size, making it an ideal carryall bag for any outfit—and a covetable one at that.

Only seven pieces of this gem of a bag are sold exclusively in the Chairman’s Villa at Solaire Manila. While Louis Vuitton has kept the price under wraps, it is estimated to retail for around P1.25 million—starkly higher than the standard Capucines with prices ranging from P121,000 to P500,000.

For those who couldn’t get their hands on the bag, Louis Vuitton has released a similar piece that is included in the final chapter of the Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami re-edition collection. Like the rest of the collection, this LV x TM Capucines Mini is a chic statement, with the Japanese artist’s cheeky cherry motif bringing playfulness to the bag’s denim top flap. Adding more flair are its top handle, braided strap, and LV initials, all jazzed up in striking red.

Louis Vuitton’s Philippine-exclusive Wicker Capucine is only available at Solaire Manila, while its Resort 2025 collection and Takashi Murakami collaboration are on hand both in Greenbelt 3 and The Shoppes at Solaire.
