Jacquemus F/W 2025 is an intimate collection captured entirely on an iPhone

The designer reminded the fashion world that innovation doesn’t have to be flashy. It can be effective too when it’s simple and personal.

Simon Porte Jacquemus knows how to make a statement. For his Fall/Winter 2025 collection, he did something unexpected, turning away from his large-scale runways and opting for a small, intimate presentation. The show, held in the historic Art Deco apartment of architect Auguste Perret, welcomed just 40 guests. But the real twist? The entire event was filmed on an iPhone 16 Pro Max.

In Jacquemus’ words, “With this collection, I want to bare myself before you, without artifice, just our silhouettes in the intimacy of Auguste Perret’s apartment.” It sums up the show’s intimate and raw approach. The collection focused on the beauty of the designs, stripped of distractions. and instead of towering cameras and elaborate setups, Jacquemus chose simplicity, integrating 17 iPhones into the set to capture the show.

Titled La Croisière (“The Cruise”), the collection took inspiration from the 1950s, reimagining the glamour of old Hollywood through a distinctly Jacquemus lens. Women’s pieces included drop-waist skirts, hourglass dresses, and daring “naked” gowns.

Adriana Lima turned heads in a sleek black gown with an exposed thong detail, while Christy Turlington brought sophistication in a tailored trench-style dress. Menswear followed suit, with sharply tailored jackets, preppy blazers, and Americana-inspired trousers.

A highlight was Jacquemus’ reinterpretation of Nike’s iconic Moon Shoe, a sneaker that originally debuted in 1972, now reimagined in a creamy yellow hue with the brand’s signature waffle sole.

Jacquemus is known for his playful, sun-soaked collections, but La Croisière marked a shift. By shooting the entire show on iPhones, Jacquemus reminded the fashion world that innovation doesn’t have to be flashy: it can be simple, personal—and effective.
