Serving looks: The 8 most stylish women in tennis right now

These athletes show they can ace both tennis and fashion.

A marriage made in heaven. This is what tennis and fashion have always been. Few sports merge power and elegance, athleticism and style as effortlessly as tennis does.

This special relationship can be traced back to the sport’s origins in the late 1800s as a society game. Since then, tennis players have been associated with some of fashion’s biggest names and brands, from the legendary Suzanne Lenglen and Jean Patou to Serena Williams and Virgil Abloh (for Nike). Tennis and fashion collabs have given birth to numerous iconic looks, such as Serena’s jaw-dropping 2004 US Open ensemble, which included a denim skirt, studded tank, and custom tennis boots, and Maria Sharapova’s unforgettable “Little Black Tennis Dress” during the 2006 US Open.

While Maria has already hung her tennis racquet, Venus is no longer the dominant force that she was, and Serena has only very recently made a comeback (yes, the GOAT is back!), a new crop of tennis stars on the WTA is showing that they, too, can ace both tennis and fashion.

8. Eva Lys

The 24-year-old Kyiv-born German right-hander turned pro in 2022, earning over $2.3 million in career prize money since her debut. Eva has yet to win her maiden WTA title, but she has already reached a few WTA 250 semis and quarterfinals, the quarterfinals of the China Open in 2025 (WTA 1000), and has won three ITF titles.

Fellow players have named Eva as among the most stylish on tour. She is known for her sleek, chic athletic style, blending high-fashion pieces with sportswear. At the start of the year, Lacoste announced Eva as their newest tennis athlete, joining the likes of Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, and fellow WTA player Beatriz Haddad Maia. The French designer label praised her “confidence, instinct, and sharp sense of style.”

7. Iga Świątek

Called the “Polish punisher,” Iga is considered the best female tennis player post-Serena Williams era. The 25-year-old burst onto the tennis scene in 2020 when, at just 19, she swept through Roland Garros without dropping a set, becoming the first Polish player in history to win a Grand Slam title. She will go on to win three more French Open titles (2022, 2023, and 2024), the 2022 US Open, and last year’s Wimbledon for a remarkable six Grand Slams and a total of 24 career singles titles (and more to come for sure). Iga also holds a 37-match winning streak in 2022, the longest on the women’s tour since 1990.

While not exactly a shoo-in on the “most fashionable list,” Iga’s style is timeless and quite unforgettable, especially her more androgynous ensembles. On- and off-court, she favors minimalist pieces with simple sporty silhouettes and clean lines, favoring comfort over style for her kits. Her fashion portfolio is further boosted by partnerships and brand ambassadorships like On, Rolex, Lancôme, and most recently, Coach.

6. Alex Eala

Every Filipino’s favorite tennis player, the 21-year-old has earned a spot in the annals of the sport by becoming the first-ever player from the Philippines to break into the WTA Top 30, achieving a career-high ranking of 29 on March 16, 2026. She is ranked no. 30 as of June 21, 2026. While Alex has yet to win her first WTA Tour title (she has won two WTA 125/WTA Challenger titles), she has already prevailed against six top 10 players, the most recent of which was in the 2026 Berlin Open against Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina (no. 2) and Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina (no. 8). She fell to Czech player Linda Noskova in the semis, but it was still an impressive debut at the German capital.

On- and off-court, Alex has shown she can also be a fashionista. She has mastered the sporty-chic look matched with a charming girl-next-door vibe. Her Nike kits have mostly been memorable. For last year’s US Open, Alex rocked a striking red tank top paired with a pleated skirt in rich burgundy tones. The pink ballerina-inspired kit she used at the 2026 Roland Garros and the 2026 Birmingham Open (where she won the title) generated online buzz, with Maria Sharapova sharing Alex’s photo and tagging her in an Instagram story together with the other players who wore the set.

Alex has also honored her Filipino heritage through her style. Fans would remember how, ahead of her debut match at Wimbledon last year, Nike gifted our tennis pride with a sampaguita hair tie. Last April at the Laureus Sports Awards in Madrid, she wore a Filipiniana ensemble designed by her uncle, esteemed fashion designer Rhett Eala.

5. Elena Rybakina

The first Kazakhstani player to win a Grand Slam title (2022 Wimbledon), Elena has risen to the top of the women’s game thanks in no small part to her deadly serve. Agile on every surface, the current world no. 2 firmly established herself among the sport’s elite by winning the WTA Finals at the end of 2025, a few weeks before securing her second Grand Slam title at the 2026 Australian Open.

Coming in at a towering 6-feet tall, Elena’s height and stature are a designer’s dream come true. Her fashion choices reflect her “Ice Queen” persona, opting for minimalist and elegant pieces that speak of quiet luxury both in her on- and off-duty choices. Elena leans toward monochrome palettes, structured blazers, and tailored denim for a cozy but chic look. Her 2024 and 2025 WTA Finals looks are worthy of magazine covers.

4. Aryna Sabalenka

The current world no. 1 is a two-time Australian Open and US Open champion, making her a hard-court specialist. She is known for her aggressive playing style, which can easily overwhelm opponents, as well as her relentless composure, which has given her remarkable come-from-behind wins.

Aryna’s fashion picks reflect her powerful brand of tennis. The 28-year-old Belarusian’s Nike kits often come in vibrant and playful colors. She plays the haute couture game quite well, too, having been spotted wearing designer clothes from Burberry, Fendi, Miu Miu, Tory Burch, and Jimmy Choo. On court, she often completes her look with luxury jewelry through her partnership with New York-based luxury brand Material Good. She has been recently tapped as a global Gucci ambassador and even had a front-row seat at the brand’s Fall 2026 runway show.

3. Emma Raducanu

The London-born Chinese-Romanian star shocked the world with her history-making 2022 US Open win at just 19 years old, where she was also the first qualifier to win a major. Though she has yet to replicate her US Open feat, with recent tours marred by multiple injuries and an unfortunate period of coaching rejigs, Emma continues to be a magnet for endorsements, thanks to her undeniable on- and off-court charisma.

Despite being dropped by Nike from its stable of athletes last year, Emma recently signed a multi-year deal with Uniqlo as a global brand ambassador, a partnership reportedly worth around $3.5 million. With her preference for stylish yet effortless comfort, the Japanese label couldn’t have picked a better tennis star. The 23-year-old also has active partnerships with Christian Dior, Tiffany & Co., Porsche, British Airways, Evian, and Wilson.

2. Coco Gauff

A tennis prodigy, the 22-year-old American holds several notable achievements in the sport, among which are two Grand Slam singles titles (2023 US Open and 2025 French Open) and the 2024 WTA Finals championship. Despite a still relatively young professional career, she has already claimed 11 WTA singles titles and 10 WTA doubles titles. The Florida native also boasts 80 career Grand Slam wins, the youngest woman to reach that milestone since Maria Sharapova in 2008.

Off-court, Coco has shown she can serve style as effortlessly as she does her powerful forehand. Like Raducanu, she is also a sought-after endorser, with her on-court and off-court earnings combined ($33 million) catapulting her to the top of the Forbes’ highest-paid female athletes list for two consecutive years (2024 and 2025). Her partnerships with New Balance and Miu Miu have made her a “tenniscore” icon, perfecting looks that combine vintage tennis apparel with everyday streetwear.

1. Naomi Osaka

The four-time Grand Slam champion representing Japan is the first Asian player—woman or man—to reach the world No. 1 ranking, making her the most accomplished Asian tennis player ever. At age 20, she won the 2018 US Open, defeating the GOAT Serena Williams in the final, then added the 2019 and 2021 Australian Opens and 2020 US Open to her legacy. After a hiatus due to mental health struggles and childbirth, she returned to competition in 2024, reaching the 2025 US Open semis, proving she remains a force to be reckoned with in the sport.

Love her or hate her, there’s no denying that Naomi is the most stylish WTA player in the past decade or so. She has the boldest, zaniest, and most unapologetic sartorial choices that almost always spark conversation—and the inevitable bashing from haters. She is best known for her dramatic walk-on outfits at Grand Slams. In this year’s Australian Open, for instance, she entered the Rod Laver Arena with an elaborate outfit that included a veil, a parasol, and a huge butterfly-emblazoned hat. At the recently concluded French Open, she wore a black corset and cascading skirt over a glittering gold Nike dress.

In 2021, she co-chaired the Met Gala with Timothee Chalamet, Billie Eilish, and Amanda Gorman. With her numerous brand endorsements, Naomi set an all-time female earnings record in 2020 by making $37.4 million. In 2022, she broke her own record by pulling in $57.3 million. She continues to rank among the top-earning sportswomen, earning an estimated $12.5 million in 2025, according to Forbes, placing her in a tie for 8th with Elena Rybakina.
