Calling all dinosaur lovers! Jurassic World is invading Singapore this May

It features 13 zones that let you interact face-to-face with Jurassic World’s iconic dinosaurs and explore ecosystems that IRL existed earlier than previously thought.

There’s always something new to do in Singapore, but if you’re up for a blast into the prehistoric past, then an immersive dinosaur experience will give you all the thrills. Dinosaurs are stampeding into Asia, with Jurassic World: The Experience gearing up to shake the grounds of Singapore this May.

Slated to roar into action on May 29, Jurassic World: The Experience brings to life the cinematic universe of the Jurassic World movie franchise at the lush gardens of Cloud Forest in Gardens by the Bay. In this event produced by Universal Live Entertainment and global experience entertainment company Neon, dinosaur lovers should better prepare to be transported hundreds of millions of years back to when the ancient giants ruled the Earth.

Cutting-edge animatronics, interactive exhibits, and iconic moments from the hit Jurassic films fill the 13 zones at the 118-meter-long and 58-meter-high dome. The journey begins at the Brachiosaurus Falls, which is one of the exhibit’s major highlights. It features Cloud Forest’s iconic 30-meter-high indoor waterfall and a towering Brachiosaurus—almost three stories high—welcoming you into the world of Jurassic Park.

As you walk farther into the indoor forest, you’ll find an interactive nursery where you can touch and spend time with baby dinosaurs, as well as have a face-to-face moment with a fearsome Tyrannosaurus rex. There are also tiny Compsognathus, or “Compys,” for you to find in the pathways of the lush garden.

While Singapore, a.k.a. the “City in Nature,” has many other venues perfect for outdoor exhibits, Jurassic World’s selection of Cloud Forest certainly makes sense. The dome boasts more than 72,000 plants of over 50 species with lineages that can be traced back to the Jurassic period. The plants, which include ferns, conifers, and cycads once thrived alongside dinosaurs and also served as their food.

“Besides life-sized dinosaurs roaming the mist-shrouded landscape, which will captivate visitors of all ages, what sets Gardens by the Bay’s edition apart is a world-first educational showcase. Here, visitors will learn how prehistoric ecosystems once shaped our planet within the setting of a Cloud Forest, and the fascinating way plants have evolved through millions of years from the Jurassic period,” Gardens by the Bay CEO, Felix Loh said in a release.

At the immersive exhibit, guests will learn how the plants continue to thrive today and understand how they connect past and present ecosystems. And while the Cloud Forest’s cool-mist climate is starkly different from the warm and tropical-like temperatures in Jurassic World, the cold atmosphere is set to make every exploration more refreshing and enjoyable than anywhere else in the humid country.

Jurassic World: The Experience also has exclusive offerings, such as the Evolution Walk, where you can travel back in time to explore ancient plants that only existed before the age of dinosaurs. The reconstruction of these plants offer an eye-opening showcase of how plants have evolved across various eras.

Jurassic World: The Experience is arriving in Singapore on May 29 before flying to Bangkok later in 2025. The Bangkok edition will take place on the Asiatique The Riverfront, which offers scenic views of the Chao Praya River.
