Are you ready for an ‘eargasm’? JBL marks 80 years with AI and smarter sound specs

The brand boasts a product line powered with AI-assisted sound systems, party portables, gaming and streaming gears, as well as lifestyle wearables built for modern behaviors and everyday entertainment.

In the audio arena, JBL has remained embedded within people’s everyday routines—in how they consume sound, listen to songs, stream gaming sessions, amp up workouts, and translate content into audio immersions. Across the world, the brand is known for keeping its beat alive—one anthem at a time.

As it celebrates its 80th anniversary this year, the audio company is poised to push sensory experiences even better by steering standalone speakers and headphones into a more interconnected, lifestyle-driven landscape. Its products’ portability, participation, and personalization features continue to foster connectivity, highlighting both the beauty of listening to better sound and living beyond silence.

Last May 15 to 16, members of the media and creator communities converged at Clark Marriott Hotel and Clark Global City, Pampanga for a two-day discovery of JBL Philippines’ latest audio lineup. The amusement affair was also packed with product walkthroughs, creative workshops, gaming tournaments, skate shows, and a genre-targeted weekend concert bannered by acclaimed local acts Ben&Ben, Dionela, HORI7ON, G22, and Al James. Apart from the festivities, the audio showcase spotlights how consumer audio continues to evolve beyond entertainment.

Rather than focusing rigidly on traditional listening, JBL’s latest releases increasingly revolve around interaction and activity: social karaoke sessions, content and livestream creation, immersive gaming, interactive mobile entertainment, and multisensory pursuits. Spanning portable speakers, earbuds, wireless earpieces and microphones, as well as multimedia devices, the company’s diverse collection proves how audio products are now powering new experiences and everyday engagements. Leading the rollout are JBL’s leading EasySing products, which place the country’s karaoke culture at the center of the collection’s participatory ecosystem.

The pocket-sized JBL EasySing Mic Mini Duo (P12,999) and EasySing Mic Mini (P8,999) convert compatible JBL speakers and PartyBox models into instant karaoke/music systems through real-time AI Vocal Removal. With a single press, vocals from popular streaming tracks are significantly reduced or completely removed, inviting users to instantly render karaoke-ready versions without waiting for verified official instrumental offerings. Made for both casual singing and broadcasted content, the microphones are also applicable to content creation—featuring AI Noise Suppression, Voice Boost support for fuller vocals, Natural Reverb Tuning, and studio-like recording setups via handheld, ring-handle, and clip-on configurations.

For larger parties, JBL launched the EasySing Mic collection for compatible PartyBox speakers—built specifically for group sing-alongs and social gatherings. It takes on vocal tuning support as well as a longer wireless playtime. JBL also proceeds to expand the karaoke experience through the two: the PartyBox Encore 2 Plus (P26,999) and PartyBox On-The-Go 2 Plus (P24,999). Both now have a built-in AI Vocal Removal directly in the speakers, a dynamic party lighting, plus microphone support. More than the karaoke trend, JBL stretched its portable speaker range via the rugged and compact JBL Go 5 (P2,899); the louder and longer-lasting JBL Xtreme 5 (P21,299); and the PartyBox 130 (P23,999), which combines powerful sound, portable listening, and vibrant lighting for outdoor activities and occasions.

From its personal audio lineup, JBL introduced expanded headphone and earbud items designed around daily engagements, travel, and entertainment. The JBL Live Series—including the Live 680NC (P7,999) and Live 780NC (P11,999)—integrates clearer noise cancellation, longer battery life, and more fashion-forward finishes. Meanwhile, the Live 4 (P12,499) earbuds arrive in Buds, Beam, and Flex editions, catering to different wearing preferences. JBL positioned its curated display as well through the Tune Series technology: Tune 530BT (P3,499), Tune 730BT (P4,799), Tune 680NC (P6,399), and Tune 780NC (P7,999), all of which accentuate clarity, lightweight comfort, stronger bass, streaming, wireless convenience, wearability, and extended battery life for everyday beats.

Gaming is also anchoring JBL’s growing ecosystem through the fresh Quantum Series additions: the Quantum 250 (P3,999), Quantum 650 (P9,199), and flagship Quantum 950 (P21,999). Engineered for today’s competitive gaming, the headsets generate clearer directional sound, shorter delay, and replaceable components for regular and long-term use. In line with this, the dynamic gaming direction became especially visible during the JBL Audio Playground at Clark Global City, where visitors engaged in Mobile Legends battles, DJ workshops, dance classes, and other onsite offerings throughout the day. Tailored with modern media in mind, JBL’s latest lineup reflects how audio routines are fast-evolving in an era of flexibility, socialization, and lifestyle shifts.
